The Mindful Eating for Binge Eating program
Now, Dr. Kari Anderson, DBH LPC and Michelle have joined together to create the Am I Hungry® Mindful Eating for Binge Eating program–and I couldn’t be more excited to share their work with those suffering from binge eating, and binge eating disorder (BED). Currently, I offer this clinically focused program to participants as a registered psychological assistant in California #PSB37928 under the supervision of Deborah Brenner-Liss, PhD #PSY9452.
Grounded in research, compiled with love, Kari and Michelle have developed a group program that truly mets the needs of the Am I Hungry® Mindful Eating for Binge Eating (AIH ME-BE) program participants. The AIH ME-BE model was tested and results indicate a significant decrease in binge eating behavior, measured by the Binge Eating Scale. Score decreased from severe binge eating to non-binge eating after the 10 week group program! (*Anderson & May, 2012) One year follow-up results are being complied now.
